Timi Light

Oluwatimilehin Oni, known as Timi Light, is a versatile artist, dancer, and singer from IB City, Nigeria. Timi's creative journey began in childhood, sketching the world around him and eventually crafting childlike comics to sell to his classmates.

Despite being a dancer and a singer, visual art remains his most potent form of self-expression. He pursued formal art studies at Obafemi Awolowo University, earning a degree in fine and applied arts. Timi's inspiration is drawn from personal experiences and community events, reflecting the highs and lows of life through his distorted yet colorful images, delivering a message of resilience: "Broken but not damaged."

Timi also focuses on celebrating the beauty, strength, and resilience of the black body and soul. His unique approach challenges viewers to engage their imagination by presenting distorted human figures, encouraging them to complete the missing elements in their minds.

Timi Light has actively participated in local art exhibitions and competitions. His work was featured on the art and review page of 'THISDAY NEWS' in 2019, highlighting his growing influence in the world of contemporary visual arts.
