Sara Scribner is a contemporary painter whose works have been exhibited in many museums and galleries in the US and Europe. This includes the European Museum of Modern Art (MEAM) museum in Barcelona, Spain, Wausau Museum of Art in Wausau, WI, Wally Workman Gallery in Austin, Texas, Gallery 1261 in Denver, CO, and RJD Art Gallery in Bridgehampton, New York. She also published some of her works in renowned publications like American Art Collector, Southwest Art Magazine, PoetsArtists Magazine, Professional Artists Magazine and online at Artsy, Huffington Post, Fine Art Connoisseur, Austin Chronicle as well as the San Francisco Chronicle. Sara has exhibited extensively along with her husband, a figurative painter whom she met while studying at the Academy of Art.
Sara completed her BVA in painting from the Academy of Art University, San Francisco. Following her graduation, she began her career as a professional visual artist. Her body of work consists of figurative portrait paintings, which are treated in a classical technique. The narrative of her images makes her paintings intriguing and offers the viewer a scope to interpret and create stories around them. Creating a possibility of dialogue, her works display a poised character often gazing at the viewer. The artist is fascinated by the depiction of flora and fauna in articulating mythic tales and folklore.
