Born in 1989, Riley Holloway is a young visual artist, who learned art at an early age from his mother. Ranging his practice in portraits to descriptions, Riley works play with several props that are symbolic in nature. Although the expression is simple, the additional props add an amusing quality to the painting. Riley received his art training from the Art Insitute of Dallas and The Florence Academy of Art. He was born in Los Angeles, wherefrom his learning from art treads a contemporary path while incorporating exotic elements.
Adding an element of text and, sometimes personal reference, his work delineates a subtle method of storytelling. Dynamic and fresh, Riley uses oil painting techniques in most of his works. Creating an interesting play of suppleness and tough rendering, the aesthetic of his works meanders a slippery road. Riley believes in painting pictures that are liberated and free of constraints. Teeming with the essence of recounting stories, the representations indulge a viewer in exploring new junctions of the stories. The junction accentuates the richness of representations and storytelling.
