Born in Brooklyn, Jurell Cayetano is a visual artist with a BFA degree from the School of Visual Art in 2014. His body of works majorly consists of portraiture painted in an expressionist style.
The artist’s subjects of work derive from photographic references of his peers. He treats his painting with a mix of realism and expressionism. They express liveliness and articulate emotions. Jurell's works range in diverse mediums including graphite, coloured pencil, gouache and oil paint. The artist paints in a post-impressionist manner with bold brush strokes and vibrant colours.
