    Edward D'Arcy Lister

     Edward d'Arcy Lister (1911–1976) was a British painter and printmaker, born in Horsforth, Yorkshire. He pursued his art education at Leeds College of Art from 1928 to 1933 and then at the Royal College of Art, studying under Gilbert Spencer for four years. Lister later became a lecturer at Bournemouth and Poole College of Art.

    His work was exhibited at the Royal Academy and various provincial galleries. Notably, his piece "Saturday Night," held by the Southampton City Art Gallery, showcases his talent for depicting provincial urban life. The Victoria & Albert Museum also houses some of his works. Besides his paintings, Lister created several murals.

    Lister's artwork has been offered at auction numerous times, with realized prices ranging from 208 USD to 1,558 USD, depending on the size and medium. His highest auction record was for "INCOMING TIDE," which sold for 1,558 USD at Duke's Auctioneers in 2018.
