    Dimitris Ntokos

Dimitris Ntokos (b. 1984) is a Greek contemporary artist known for his striking visual language rooted in the ancient symbolism of Egyptian culture. Based in Athens, Ntokos first emerged as a street artist, gaining recognition for his signature scarab motif and later, for incorporating hieroglyphic forms into his dynamic compositions. His works appear not only on canvas but also across the walls of abandoned buildings in Greece, Berlin, Belgium, and Italy—transforming forgotten spaces into visual narratives steeped in mystery and history.

A self-taught artist with a background in Graphic and Architectural Design, Ntokos worked in the design field for six years before fully committing to his art practice. Since 2011, he has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions, as well as international art fairs. His work balances graphic precision with ancient spiritual symbolism, reflecting a fascination with communication systems, mythology, and the archaeology of form.

In 2017, he spoke at the College of Athens’ Art History Week, sharing insights into his evolving visual language. His recent solo exhibition abroad took place in Palermo in 2019, and his latest body of work, Alphabet, was presented at Blender Gallery in Athens in 2021.

Dimitris Ntokos continues to expand his artistic voice both in Greece and internationally.
