    Caroline De Aquino

Caroline de Aquino, a Brazilian artist, draws inspiration from her homeland's rich culture of music, weather, architecture, and street art. Raised in Brazil's middle-class neighborhoods where street art was a prominent form of expression, Caroline's artistic journey was heavily influenced by her surroundings. Fueled by her admiration for artists like Basquiat and Cândido Portinari, she found her calling in figurative, abstract art, where she could freely channel her emotions and ideas into her creations.

After spending six years in the corporate world, Caroline decided to take a sabbatical year to focus on healing from depression. It was during this time that she discovered her love for painting, viewing it as a means to reconnect with herself. As her passion grew, she began selling some of her pieces, leading her to realize her true purpose as an artist.

In 2020, Caroline made the bold decision to move to the United States to pursue her artistic aspirations. Now, she faces the challenges of being an immigrant in a new country while tirelessly working to make her dreams a reality. Through her art, Caroline shares her unique perspective and celebrates the beauty of self-expression.
