Annan Affotey, a native of Accra, Ghana, emerged as a prominent artist after graduating with top honors from the Ghanatta College of Art and Design. His exceptional talents were recognized with accolades such as Best Student of Still Life, Best Imagination and Composition, and Best Abstract Drawing awards. Subsequently, Annan became an integral part of the artistic landscape in Accra, showcasing his works in numerous group and solo exhibitions under the Revolution Art Organization.

In 2013, Annan played a pivotal role in the establishment of the African Young Artist Organization (AYAO), demonstrating his commitment to fostering the development of African youth in the arts. The organization, through its diverse programs and exhibitions, became a platform for nurturing emerging talents across the continent.

From 2014 to 2019, Annan Affotey resided in Wisconsin, further expanding his artistic horizons and contributing to the cultural dialogue. Presently based in Oxford, UK, his journey continues to be characterized by a dedication to artistic innovation, cultural exchange, and the empowerment of emerging talents in the vibrant landscape of African contemporary art.
